August has been a busy month for CHARTTES with our team out and about all over the Northern Territory!  CHARTTES Trainging Advisory Council was appointed by the Department of Education and Training to once again coordinate the Careers Expo on their Behalf.  Expo's were held in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Nhulunbuy and Darwin with very positive Support in all of the Regions.

We have also commenced work on two new projects, developing an Indigenous Workforce Development Strategy for the Hospitality Sector in the Regions and Developing Regional Sport and Recreation in Regional and Remote areas.  CHARTTES are working in partnership with Cross Cultural Consultants on these projects.  Jason Elsegood and I have just returned form our first round of consultation with the Hospitality sectors in Alice Springs, Katherine, Jabiru and Batchelor.

We would like to thank all of the employers and staff who took the time to attend forums and meetings to give us their input into the developmment of the strategy.  We will be commencing training with the Department of Sport and Recreation also this month for the development of this strategy.
