Vocational Education and Training in Schools is an education initiative for secondary school students based on partnerships between industry and education.

VET in Schools programs provide another option for all students to consider. These programs give students an advantage when seeking employment, as they will have already acquired some of the skills necessary for working in a particular industry area. Many of the skills acquired will be useful for a wide range of careers and work options.

Students who undertake VET in Schools programs should do so as part of their broad general education program that combines the Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) with all, or part, of a nationally recognised VET qualification.
