The NTCE results are in (17 December)
The 2008 Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) results were announced today with 1013 young Territorians – including a record 154 Indigenous students – receiving their school certificate. The Territory’s top student this year is from Alice Springs. St Phillip’s College’s Edward Tikoft received an outstanding score of 98.Three students from Darwin High School achieved scores of 97 – Andros Zhu, Hannah Phelps and Catherine Browne, sharing the recognition for the second top score in the Northern Territory. The top indigenous student was Stacey McKenzie, who also attended Darwin High. Plenty of incentive to trade (16 December)
The Northern Territory Government has achieved its target of 10,000 trainees and apprentices in the four years to 2009. A new target has been set for a further 10,000 in the next four years. Twenty five percent of the 3147 apprentices and trainees currently in the Northern Territory are Indigenous Territorians. More
