CHARTTES - BECOME A MEMBER...

Whether you are an employer, manager or supervisor, work for a training organisation, or are a teacher involved in vocational training or careers - you will benefit from registering as a member of CHARTTES Training Advisory Council.

CHARTTES Training Advisory Council is the principal advisor to the Northern Territory Department of Education and Training on Vocational Education and Training (VET) Matters, in the Cultural, Recreation and Tourism industries and community sectors.

CHARTTES Training Advisory Council is governed by a management committee drawn from members of the industry and community sectors that it represents. Its coverage includes Tourism & Hospitality, Sport & Recreation & Culture & the Arts. CHARTTES is a not for profit training advisory association. Membership is free and open to anyone with an interest in strengthening training in the Northern Territory.

By becoming a member of CHARTTES Training Advisory Council you will receive information updates via newletters and be given the opportunity to provide feedback and have input into the development and review of training packages, join forum discussions on a variety of topics such as Workforce Development for your sector and to participate in surveys and polls which feed into National Agendas.

PROCESS FOR MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL

  1. Complete your application form for membership and select either to become a Full Member or an Associate Member and submit the form via our website.
  2. Your application will be reviewed and confirmation sent to you confirming your membership status.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Membership of the association is open to all employer, employee and professional/industry organisations from the following industries;

  • Arts and Entertainment (including Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Music, Graphic Arts/Design, Printing, Multi Media, Film, Television, Radio/Broadcasting, Creative Writing & Editing, Libraries, Museums and Entertainment)
  • Sport and Recreation (including outdoor recreation, community recreation, fitness and racing)
  • Tourism and Hospitality (including caravans)
  • Textile, Clothing and Footwear

Any individuals who do not fit into these categories, but who have a demonstrated interest in the industry may be an Associate Member of the association, but may not sit on the board. Organisations whose core activity is education and/or training will also be classified as Associate Members and may participate in a non-voting capacity.
