Profile: After studying and working in Sydney Anya came to the Territory 13 years ago and for 8 of those years she has built her own business in Darwin. Anya now has the Territory's largest design studio with 10 permanent employees. Anya is a member of the Public Relations Institute, The Film and Television Association of the NT, the Creative Thinktank, and a Telstra Business Award finalist. Anya has energy, vision and passion to grow and assist creative Territorians.

Profile: Carol runs her own bookkeeping business and has worked with Charttes since early 2008. Carol is the Appointed Treasurer.

Industry Sector: Tourism & Hospitality
Profile: Alana is the Marketing Manager for Tourism Top End. Tourism Top End is the Regional Tourist Association for the Top End Region with over 540 members made up of tourism and non-tourism related businesses. Tourism Top End also provides Visitor Services through information centre’s around Darwin. The main hub is 6 Bennett Street Darwin www.tourismtopend.com.au

Sandra Black

Sandra Black

Work Place: SKYCITY Darwin
Industry Sector: Hospitality
Profile:   Sandra is the Human Resources Manager at SKYCITY Darwin, overseeing all staffing and training requirements for the property that has over 600 core staff, swelling to over 1500 staff in the events season. 

Sandra comes from a family that has recently celebrated 100 years in the Territory.  She was educated in Perth and holds an Associate Diploma in Adult Education and commenced a Graduate Diploma in HR Development.  Sandra was part of the first in-take and spokesperson for the WA Government Traineeship Scheme in 1985.  She's also a fully-qualified beauty therapist.

 Sandra has worked for such companies as Edith Cowan University, Target Australia, the then Beaufort Darwin Hotel and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

She has gathered a number of accolades along the way including 2 Brolga's for Training whilst at the Beaufort and at SKYCITY Darwin.  Last year taking out the national Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Best Tourism Education and Training.

Since 2005, Sandra has been an active member of the committee of Charttes training advisory Council.

Wayne Buckley

Work Place:  Roper Gulf Shire Council

Wayne has considerable experience in local government including Community Manager at Bulman and Economic Development officer for the Katherine Region.  Wayne wrote the Community Safety (Night Patrol) operational frame work for the newly formed Roper Gulf Shire Council.  Wayne is the Chairperson of Katherine Regional Arts and an interim  Board member of the Katherine Cultural Precinct Development.

Diana MacMullin

Work Place:  Department  of Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries & Resources

Diana brings to CHARTTES Training Advisory Council considerable management, and governance experience. She has worked on the South Australian Community Services Skills Board and the Construction Industry Training Board.  Additionally, she has held training, project development and management positions with Volunteering SA,  Flinders University, Community Arts Network SA and Port Adelaide Central Mission. Diana relocated from Adelaide to Alice Springs 2008 to take up the position of Executive Officer with the Chamber of Commerce NT and currently works for the NT Government as Senior Policy Officer, Regional Development.

Amy Williamson

Work Place:   Australian Hotels Association (NT Branch)

Amy has held the position of Executive Director of the AHA (NT branch) since March 2007. Through her hospitality industry representation and legislation knowledge, she brings to the CHARTTES Board considerable relevant industry experience.  Amy is a qualified lawyer; prior to her appointment at AHANT she practiced commercial law in Darwin.
